I'll cut off my dick for the ability to use a regulated site. (Shit post FYI)
*Its been a few months.. and it's about that time that I make a shit post where I bitch about everything* To all my fellow US players getting fucked in the ass per usual... WHAT THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO DO TO USE A HONEST POKER SITE!? It's 2021 and it has been almost a decade since I have been able to use a worthy-poker-site such as Full Tilt, Stars, 888, Party Poker, and so on. I am starting to fall out of love with poker because I can't keep playing on these bullshit sites located in Panama and throughout the Caribbean. Here are a couple of my experiences from the past 8-ish months or so. ACWPN/BCP: - 2 to 4 months ago I received 2 PARTIAL refunds due to bots being at my table, in which one scenario was a final table. Didn't even get a full fucking refund. This also doesn't mention the other partial refunds I received earlier in 2020. - As you all well know, ACR has had multiple scandals going back to 2012, like the the 2018-2019 PLO/NL cash game bots and several people colluding together to take advantage of the late reg glitch. Nagy can eat a fat dick. - If you play at America's Cardroom in 2021 you're a fucking retard. (No offence) Betonline/BOL: - 6 months ago Betonline removed $1000 from my poker balance on my account and said that the money was transferred to my sportsbook balance at 4am PST and all of it was spent in the online casino. When I asked them to investigate they did nothing. So I asked their Fraud/IT Department to send me a list of all devices, MAC addresses, and IP addresses that signed into my account that day... They refused to cooperate... Customer service said it was against company policy to release that type of information, even though its MY OWN fucking account and personal information. ( I took a break from the site but eventually returned because US players have no options and I love MTTs.) - 2 months ago I deposited $50 of ETH to their sports book to bet on an NFL game. Blockchain.com confirmed that BOL's Etheruem address received my money, and I even sent customer service proof of the transaction THREE TIMES. They still refuse to issue me my $50 deposit to this day, stating "our system says the deposit is still pending". - 2 days ago I received a $5 refund from a Windfall Sit n Go because the 2 other two players at my table were bots :) :) :) I should just kill myself at this point. WHO THE FUCK HAS BOTS AT THE JACK POT SIT N GO. Bovada/Ignition: - Honestly, I haven't used them in like a year or two because they removed the chat box, make it a pain to utilize HUD software, and that fucking update they did to their software. That huge software update was so fucking horrible the sites damn near unplayable. I'm sure you guys remember the old canvas/layout that Bovada/Iggy use to utilize, it was way better. Anyways, I just don't know what to do anymore. I NEVER had any of these issues back in the Full Tilt days. I don't even want to play half the time because I'm sick of all the bullshit. I am also in Los Angeles, CA so the lockdown bullshit makes live poker a huge pain in the ass. Some casinos are open, some are closed, some are outside, some make you wear mask and sit in between plastic dividers, some allow you to order drinks but not food. It's all fucking stupid. I really want to use my VPN but I don't want to build up a bankroll on a legit site like PartyPoker and then have my funds frozen. Maybe I should just hang myself instead. (joking, just being a dramatic pussy) On a serious note, thank you for listening to me bitch and moan about my first world problems. I hope ya'll are happy, healthy and staying covid-free. Cheers to 2021, MAY THE POKER GODS BE IN YOUR FAVOR!
So this keeps happening to me and it’s so fucking frustrating. Especially now that live support is gone. So I used to play on ACR a long time ago when I was new and playing bingo poker. I then switched to betonline and then now ignition to primarily specialize in cash. I got the desire to come back to ACR because I wanted usernames and being able to use a HUD was a plus. So I grind a decent amount of tables and when I reach 200bb+ I always rat hole my stacks. When I went to join back into another table with a fresh 120bb the table wouldn’t load and the money still got taken out of my account. This happened like 3 times before I realized it and RIP goes 3 buy ins and I have to go through the hassle of emailing support and going through their slow ass process. Just curious if this has happened to any of you because I’m honestly thinking of just going back to ignition only instead of grinding on both sites. It’s so annoying
I messed up badly, but it will probably save me thousands in the long run.
This is a REALLY bad flaw in Bovada's system that needs to be known. So i got donked on all week long in the most ridiculous of fashions on Bovada. River 2 outers literally a dozen times a day. AK 4 bets getting shoved on and beaten by jack 10os in cash games. Hands never holding, Huge raises always getting shoved on, Always ahead, and losing by the river. etc. etc. etc. etc. ACR for me will never happen again after they crashed when i was top 20 with 4k up top only to refund my buy in. Betonline is full of Hud using Sharks so i wont ever use that one again. Bovada was the last bastion for me until the US regulates actual legit poker sites. So in a rage i chat with Bovada Support to permanently close my account. Unfortunately for me i was at a table with my last $100, and the support person instantly shuts off my account without asking any further questions. 45 minutes of rage filled chat texts later she says "i'm sorry, but there's nothing i can do in this situation of error" She shuts down the chat, and now i'm also blocked from their chat server. ........ I mean, i know it's for the best, and i very likely would have donked that last $100 away anyway ,and now i'll never have to play online again, but what a FLAW. i mean seriously? I'm an idiot clearly, but don't do what i did, because whatever money you have at a table, and probably the account too will be gone forever, and Bovada support will block and ignore you from contacting them. :( I feel for the guy or gal out there that has lost Thousands simply because they were trying to help themselves in a moment of thought, and Bovada straight up robbed them literally. What a ride man, but i know i'm done forever now. Don't let this be you.
ACR: Full of bots, reg infested tables, insanely long tourneys, impossible satellites that force you to play the next one available, Phil Nagy. Ignition: terrible interface restructure, forces to 4 tables max, plo short stackers constantly sitting and re sitting, high rake for low stakes including basically no rake back, literally takes bonuses away from winning players. Betonline: forced to grind rake to unlock deposit bonuses until you can make a single withdrawl (even amounts not included in deposit bonus). Not a ton of action. Definitely has bots and what seems like no action taken against them. Long withdrawl times (my last 4k withdrawl took almost a week after requesting it via btc) Pppoker and other chinese wack apps: more corrupt than Chinese bot rings themselves. Always Un sure if you're gonna be able to ever get your money out. Agent scams left and right. Global poker: no crypto options, high rake, no rake back, shitty online software that likes to crash, no hud options, and seemingly no customer service with shady business practices and policies constantly changing to try and keep running. The others have little to zero traffic. Time for the live poker grind ladies and gents.
Tackling fear: I'm not afraid of losing money, I'm afraid of feeling stupid or like a loser.
I'm thankful to be in very good shape financially through my career and play some microstakes on the side. I'm generally a breakeven player and love learning about and studying poker. Thing is, all the advice on fear is about bankroll management. I'm playing microstakes and my bankroll is trivial to me and my life, so I'm not really scared of losing $5 or $50. However I choke up sometimes, even at these microstakes, I think, more because I'm afraid of feeling stupid or like a loser if I lose money. I think it's a psychological thing that hurts my pride or sense of self as a reasonably intelligent person. Standard "bankroll nit" advice doesn't really help because deep down part of me feels like the amount you win/lose is more about how smart you are and not about standard variance etc (which is stupid, but I'm struggling to get past it and remember even the best players lose nearly as many session as they win). I'm also frustrated as a Mac user in an unfavorable state, so Betonline and Global Poker are my only options and I can't get my trends/hand histories/HUD. All the poker stuff I read is based on having that historical information available to study from :( Any advice from players who've been there?
Moved from Bovada to BetOnline and have some questions.
I sent the below email to Bovada because they ticked me off over something petty. I found BetOnline and I have some questions. First, I am relatively new to poker, do not use a HUD, and have just started to do well playing (meaning I'm placing in the money on tournaments, wining some, and not getting loosing in cash games.) Here are my questions: Can a HUD be used against me more easily on BetOnline vs. Bovada? Should I be concerned about this? I have no interest in learning or using a HUD. Is that going to be a problem for me? Thanks so much in advance! It's not relevant, but here is my email to Bovada CS: "I like Bovada and I hope this sharing helps your business in some way. I don't even think it will be read, but I'm writing for cathartic reasons.
I informed Bovada of a problem, and requested a maesly $2refund.
Customer service responded with a form email and in the same sentence, they stated that it was not their problem AND that they'd look into it.
I complained about the email and the contradiction.
I received another impersonal form email that did not address anything I said.
I did some looking and found another poker site not owned by Bovada, and really love it.
For $2, Bovada lost a customer, demonstrated poor customer service, and pushed me to find another site that I like more.
Nice job customer service! You saved your company $2 and lost an honest customer."
Full time MTT player here. Just got this email from BetOnline. Anyone else get this? If so, what are you doing about it? I use PokerTracker 4 and I don't see any way to disable the hud for BOL only and keep it running for all other sites I play. -- Good day Thank you for playing at Betonline.ag As per the terms and conditions of Betonline.ag, we do not allow players to make use of any software that provides them with an unfair advantage over other players. Can someone point me toward a good HUD for a noob... I'm only new to the HUD, been playing poker for years. Are there any that are free that actually help? I mostly play on Bovada and BetOnline Thanks
I've been playing on ACR for a while now (3ish years) and I've never been super keen on their platform, but their most recent update has been an absolute disaster (I'll spare the details; Joe Ingram has done a good job covering it if you're curious). I'm trying to figure out where to move, but for U.S. players, the options are obviously limited. A couple things to note: - I live in NY, so sites that only work in NJ are not possible (e.g. 888) - I would like to use my current HUD tracker (Poker Copilot), and from what I understand, Ignition doesn't even allow you to see usernames (I haven't tried it personally, a friend of mine tells me this is the case. Additionally, Poker Copilot doesn't seem to support Ignition; it does support other Bovada sites though, so it might) I'm essentially looking for advice as to where to try playing. Other than ACR and BetOnline (definitely not trying that again), I seem to be out of good options. Any suggestions are welcome. Cheers.
I have been playing on Ignition and ACR for a while now and using PokerTracker . (No HUD for Ignition only hand analysis that I export after my sessions). I just started out on BetOnline and I was wondering if there is a good hand converter to get my hand history on PokerTracker. I’ve found a couple with little or no reviews and some of them only seem to work for cash games.
There are some hands you just can't forget. My royal flush in Vegas tops the list, but most of the others are bad losses. Last night I was playing in the 8:30 PM $7,500 Guaranteed Special on BetOnline's poker client and had a really tough beat in the first 10 minutes. I was dealt AhKh and thought I smashed the flop Flop: AsKsTc I didn't exercise enough caution here because these tournaments usually see many all-ins in the first hour. I was horrified to see two shoves prompting me to call. I surprisingly had the worst hand of the three. I was up against: AcAd & QsJs Naturally I was beat; these things just happen in poker. I've been focusing on improving my game though and wanted to review this hand. This is where I became slightly alarmed. This hand was not captured in BetOnline's HandReview. It also didn't capture in my HUD. As a matter of fact, none of the hands at this table after my rebuy were captured by either program. I specifically remember this because I said to all players at my table, "I have never seen so many AA and KK in such a short period of time; this is starting to creep outside of standard deviation." In that first hour, I lost count of how many times I saw pocket aces and pocket kings, of which there was no record of happening in two independent software programs. I am not making the case for some nefarious activity, but rather would like to know if anyone else has experienced problems like this with online poker or has an explanation for why this hour of play was not captured; keeping in mind every other hand I have played this year was captured. I appreciate the input! Edit: Getting the card suits to show up properly.

Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. Obviously battery life is important, but I will most likely be around somewhere I can charge it most of the time, so that's no biggie. I don't care really. Just want it to perform decently.
How important is weight and thinness to you? I would prefer to not have the bulkiest piece in the world, but it's not a huge factor.
Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. I am honestly unsure which is best suited to my needs, but I prefer not to have Mac.
Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. 15"<
Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. I just want something that will allow me to get my work done as well as handle online poker and League of Legends. That's it. I have a PS4, so I get my fill elsewhere.
If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want?
Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Don't care too much, I adapt easily
Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Here's my quick story:
I got a MacBookPro in 2011. Worked great until I recently dropped it while it was on and now I'm pretty sure the hard drive shit the bed. I'm 24 years old and going into nursing school, so if anybody has suggestions based on that, I appreciate it. I am by no means a hard-core gamer, but I want to get back into poker, so I'd like something that can handle whatever skins are U.S. compatible along with an HUD (I use BetOnline personally). I also like to play League of Legends, which I managed to play on my mac. Thanks guys and gals.
HUD for BetOnline Poker and Sportsbetting.ag Neither Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker support the use of HUDs on BetOnline Poker or Sportsbetting.ag . The BetOnline Card Catcher allows you to catch all hand data so you can run a custom HUD of your choice in real time. HUD for BetOnline I just started playing poker recently so apologies if this is a dumb question. So I’m aware that BetOnline doesn’t support major HUDs, but is there any HUD/Software that would allow me to just record my own hands so I can begin a database to figure out my own VPIP, PFR, etc. How easy is it to run a HUD on Betonline (or the chico poker network)? Super easy. Check out this video below. It's done in 2 simple steps: Load up Betonline Load up drivehud That's it. Done. No 3rd party apps. Simple, quick, and efficient. Come play at the leading online poker room at BetOnline Poker Room. Play against thousands of poker players online from home on your desktop, mobile or tablet. Playing at poker sites that block or minimize HUD software is one of the most underrated factors prospective players should be checking out. You don't have to live with poker HUDs , but it isn't always clear where you'll be in the clear and where you'll be on the end of a 20-tabling grinder perusing your lifetime stats. The BetOnline Card Catcher solves this problem and allows you to run a customizable HUD with your Holdem Manager or Poker Tracker database. Now you’ll be able to review your hands, stats, track your progress, and run your favorite HUD setup with any stats you want. BetOnline — is one of the three poker rooms of the Chico Poker Network, which ranks 2nd among US-friendly sites. Chico is one of the TOP15 networks globally in terms of traffic. BOL is headquartered in Panama City, Panama, and has been operating since 2004 (almost 20 years of experience on the gambling market).
