Can you imagine playing and betting as long as you want? Can you imagine gambling from the comfort of your own home? We know for a fact that gambling is risky business, and unrestrained gambling is just asking for trouble. Compulsive gamblers already have a hard time restraining themselves from the call of casinos and bookies, and now Internet gambling just takes the ante a step further. With Internet gambling, you don't need hard cash. Everything that is online is so easy to access. Play Baccarat, Blackjack, Craps, Keno, Roulette or Slots. Play all day, all night. Before the 1990s, gamblers who wanted to place a casino or sports type bet in the United States basically had two choices: they could travel to a legitimate brick-and-mortar gaming establishment or place an illegal wager through a bookie. However, with the emergence of the Internet in the mid-1990s, a new form of gambling appeared; Internet gambling through gaming casinos and sports wagering. Internet gambling can take place on any electronic device that offers Internet access anywhere on the globe. Internet gambling makes payment options for gambling individuals easy. They can just choose from several types of payment options other than credit cards. These include: VISA and MasterCard cards: These cards are tied directly to the cardholders bank account. Funds for all transactions are deducted directly from the cardholders bank account, but cardholders can make credit card-type transactions that do not require a personal identification number. Private-label debit cards: These cards are similar to check cards above but are issued by private companies rather than credit card associations. On-line payment providers: These companies send and receive funds electronically for such uses as on-line auctions and purchases. Wire transfers: Some Internet gambling sites promote this method of payment, which allows Internet gambling customers to wire money directly from a bank account to the site. ìE-cashî or digital cash: It is a digital representation of real money that can be placed on a computer hard drive, smart card and other devices with memory. It can be purchased from an authorised provider. Internet gambling sites also offer money orders; travellers checks; bank drafts; cashiers, certified, and personal checks; and a number of other electronic banking systems or processors as payment options. With Internet gambling's easy payment options, even a non-gambler would be tempted to try. Statistics also show that Internet gambling has nearly doubled every year since 1997 ñ in 2001 it exceeded $2 billion. It also boasts 110 sport-related Internet gambling sites. According to the American Psychological Association, Internet gambling could be just as addictive as alcohol and drugs. This is a confession from quoted from The Gambling Problem Talking Point website: î... I am addicted to online poker, not to mention soccer betting and casinos whenever I am in the vicinity of one. For the longest time I thought I had the beast under control. Thought I was smarter than the pack, and shrewd enough to beat the pack. Considered my betting to be more of an investment than anything else. How much hav I lost gambling? I am afraid to tally. Has it ruined my life? Almost ... I guess being from a wealthy family, it helped me to cover the tracks not to mention the losses. But enough is enough and I would like to kick the habit all together. I am sorry if I sound a little cocky or arrogant ... I have a problem. And even now am half hearted to completely agree that I do have one. Will I continue to gamble? I am not sure. I would like to stop, but it is just so easy with the Internet and all. I guess if I was in NZ, I could join a group one a regular basis and get some help in person. But in Malaysia, how do I do that? From reading some of the posts here, I share all the common symptoms. It is a disease, and can destroy the best of people, not to mention families and loved ones a like. What can I do? How can I help myself...î Internet gambling is a very slippery slope. It can ruin your life and the life of your loved ones. So the next time Internet gambling knocks on your door, think twice. |
Hi all, submitted by PoorMike to Dell [link] [comments] First post but Dell wouldn't allow my post on their website because I spoke badly of their laptop, in a polite way of course and with proof. They called it spam. So my only other option is to 'vent' here. This was my post and see if you think its spam - I'm not asking nor am I looking for help at this point with this laptop but I'm airing my grievances with Dell here and for others to read what turns out to be ABOS. Well my story with Dell goes back many years, I've been in in Software development for best part of 20 years. In the early days, I have had a few laptops and desktop PC's and my general experience with Dell has been "they don't last". Especially after a year of daily use. The usual answer is Wipe, reinstall and maybe upgrade parts to get another year. That's the motto I took with Dell machines. Dell is never my 1st choice, nor my 2nd. I want reliability when I arrive at customer sites and a laptop that turns on, works, and delivers expectations without fear or even a thought of 'what if'. However, I started a new job in early 2018 and I was presented with of course a Dell Laptop. A Latitude 7480 in fact. It has an i7-7600u 2.8GHz, 240GB SSD etc... it was nicely spec'd but I did have my doubts, of course. So of course a big project was in progress and due for delivery March 2019 in Florida, US. I live in Ireland. Everything was going OK until February 2019 when I started to get the odd blue screen error. This stating the usual driver errors, illegal memory access bla bla bla, it didn't happen everyday but was happening at least 2 or 3 times a week. I found the laptop was really hot underneath so I kept it sitting on top of the edge some cardboard I got when I received a new monitor. It did keep the laptop relatively cooler but still wasn't blue screening. (Yes, there is tape over the camera and microphone for customer site data protection). https://preview.redd.it/gd270bkare541.jpg?width=2201&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=abf88ad4660a205ab7b8803bfddd4ea76e0dc3c2 However, I requested a new desktop PC for me so I had a backup computer with my work, it wasn't a Dell if you're asking. It didn't arrive on time before I left for Florida but the laptop was behaving somewhat, I took the gamble and if I kept the laptop raised like this, I'm sure it would be fine. Really professional right? A week into the job, the blue screens kept reoccurring and more often. I was now in the middle of my most stressful time of making a system go live in a well known multinational company plant. Blue screen, blue screen, blue screen, every 2 minutes. https://preview.redd.it/yesu756hse541.jpg?width=1632&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a8f0edfdc15b9e5187b7e4ce12ecb7a3d5928ad I spent the entire night updating drivers from Dell and Microsoft while holding the laptop to the air conditioning unit to keep it cool. I got 2 hours sleep. Really professional right? It turned out that the Intel graphic drivers where causing the graphics on the chip to overrun itself, running the fan 100% and thermally hot hot and eventually BSOD. Once I applied the correct drivers, all was good the next day. Project delivered. Was that a Dell issue? I'm not sure but again I lost confidence in this brand. Spring forward a few months and and my woes weren't over. I got this error one day! "No bootable device found." - Nice. https://preview.redd.it/hg7379bcse541.jpg?width=1606&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2fbc44349c71523504d3272de08060be3564b5c The drive was a Lite-On SSD and it had an known issue "LiteOn SSD hard drive intermittently not detected or unable to boot". See Dell support link So again, was this a Dell fault for selling a SSD that becomes undetectable... They should call it "LiteOff". So, as I said before, option upgrade parts was now here, Lite-On out, Samsung in. Much better feeling now plus a fresh Windows install to which I will use Dell's recovery OS installer. https://preview.redd.it/o9qgewtjse541.jpg?width=1632&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=16dc70769142165f5224c5b559fc4123929e2486 I have cleanly installed Windows 10 64 bit using Dell's OS recovery, so far so good. Laptop is much faster with the Mvme SSD in it.
I took my time with this, so it was over a week in the process. However, almost immediately when I was installed MS Visual Studio 2010, the laptop froze. No response, left it a few minutes, still nothing. Powered off but reboot would always blue screen and the progress bar would never increment it was always stuck on 0% so no dump will ever be created. Power off again. I then feel underneath and again its really hot even after only a few minutes of use. Checked on Dell's online driver update website using my Dell tag, "All drivers are up to date" so its not the Graphics driver as before. I turned it back on, checked the temperatures of the system and the processor was running as far 90+ degrees while copying files and wouldn't idle below 78. That wasn't right. I pulled the off the heat sink/fan for the CPU and the thermal paste was like chalk, dry cement, no moisture. Similar to this. This was something similar from another Reddit user I would assume that the previous graphics overheating the CPU burnt the paste to this state. So Noctua paste applied, reseated the heatsink and temps dropped by about 20 degrees to 60ish and didn't go over 90 at all. Much better. Nope. Still getting freeze lock ups and blue screens. https://preview.redd.it/6rnk74nyse541.jpg?width=3456&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b1c665624ee369cfef0f3f28d0fb29d64c81161e I looked at Google, and found that I'm not the only one with this problem. See link to DELL support sites for similar issues. I read, applied, altered, updated and did all of the above to no avail. I also:
And now, I can report I have no more blue screens. I'm not sure what fixed it but I reckon the Intel speed bios and my new thermal paste made the difference. Operating temps are now around 40. So is it our good old Dell laptop is overheating again and can't dissipate the heat. Do you think I should raise the laptop higher? Maybe 20 inches? So now I have "fixed" the problem, lets begin using the laptop, I tried yesterday to install another Microsoft application and of course....... Windows Freezes. Crying out loud. Very frustrating. Reboot but no blue screen.... really delighted about that......:expressionless_face: However, an UPDATE: Guess what I found, if I don't plug anything into the USB and that includes the sophisticated technological device known to you and me as the mouse... it works perfect. Plug in this mystical device and the laptop locks up and needs to be powered off. The USB driver isn't the ASMedia as the other links above have seen issues with but is the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible controller if that tells us anything. You may be asking, did I try other mice, yes. I even tried USB pen drives. Same result. The lock ups seem to coincide with some usage of the computer (as in the CPU is already hot and then the USB is plugged in) but freezes only happen when the USB is being used and not without. So I still think Thermal Heat Dissipation is the issue along with something about the USB. But you know, its a Dell. I expected this kind of stuff but not to this level of failures and this bad that I can't use a mouse anymore on a freshly installed OS with new hardware. As per the other links, it seems patches after patches are being thrown at this laptop to fix things when the laptop is badly designed (Overheating), cheaply made (Lite-on) and poorly executed (Patches). The laptop is still within Warranty for another year but I know, it will be swap motherboard or something, hope for the best. You may say that Dell wasn't really the cause of the problems here but Intel was. I would say to you, I have several other computers running in 2 offices, at home, at my parents office, none of which are Dell but other manufacturers and NOT ONE of them has ever had this or any of these errors. I even put an Intel XEON LGA771 server chip into LGA775 motherboard and still had no blue screens, freezes or lock ups. It really makes you think! |

First of all: what is a researcher? I know, strange place to start, but hear me out. I have worked professionally as a researcher, both post-graduate and post-doctoral. In academia, what that means is you do someone else's work for them, kind of the opposite of what they taught you in your undergrad, and part of what they taught you in post-grad. Research is always very directed, and you learn quickly to keep it to acceptable confines. Meaning; you don't look terribly hard for quality counterarguments or counterevidence to the position or conclusions being put forward by the research.from The grand deception: Introduction
As a result, I would sooner lump myself in with those who call themselves researchers on the internet: so many grown men and women hiding behind code names as they try to piece the broken mirror of reality back together, one exposed lie at a time. While my sentiment toward the overwhelming majority of academic researchers is to wish that they would politely fuck off and die, my sentiment to my fellow, actual researchers – those willing to follow the breadcrumbs, even when it means getting into the oven – is this: Yes, and keep going.
As biological creatures, humans are prone to noticing short-term fires over long-term trends, because the short-term fires present a more pressing concern, generally. This tendency is further exploited by the nature of screens and what they do to the consciousness. With television, the removal of text from context is absolute, as context is created with sole reference to the televisionworld, television undermines all distinctions that require referents to the real lifeworld or the individual as a participant within it. Studies have shown that passive television viewing favours the brain’s right hemisphere, while effectively shutting down the left hemisphere, the information processing centre of the brain and the seat of abstract reasoning.
The more people in general begin to wake up to even a fraction of the shit going on, the more sheep are simply shuffled onto the second farm. At this point they have just removed many of the gates on the first farm and the only thing keeping the remainder of the flock in there is fear and habituation. The second farm is well prepared for everyone now, so if you do find the bars of that one, be prepared for a few more farms to cross before you ever see the True Man Show directors.
I am really happy with the reception so far and just hope I don't disappoint now. What this content entails is pretty much an ebook rewrite of the book I have been writing the last few months. It seems not only absurdly wrong to try to monetise the content, but also ingenuine to try to maintain some sense of legitimacy based on my own credentials. I am a doctor of philosophy (biosemiotics) and after fifteen years of investing in my own education, I was at some point hoping for a payoff (and the inevitable payback). I make my own way, don't worry: I make computers too (I took the contact form off the site not that long ago for my own reasons, but if you do want a pieceofchance original PC, hit me up. I've mailed water-cooled PCs as far as NZ and Singapore before, so I am sure further is possible, but it does get very expensive.)magnora7 from Controlling the Mindset of a Nation through False Dichotomies
We live entirely within a grand deception. Ordinarily, one would expect such a monumental concept as this as requiring or justifying capitalisation; this is, after all, how concepts are portrayed to us, both through the media and by academia: The Grand Deception. But one of the central proposals I will be covering throughout this discussion involves just this attribution of elevation from the profane to the sacred. These are all very large concepts, but worry not, we will be proceeding slowly and methodically so as not to leave anyone behind. This grand deception that we are embroiled in – as a species, as a culture, and as individual actors – is phenomenal indeed, and involves the majority of what you hold to be true. Almost everything is a lie.
Disposing of the newly-useless is a distinctive feature of not only the modern human synthesis of throw-away culture, but of the very generative process of ideas: we throw out the less useful in favour of more useful ideas all the time, as the very process of thought itself. And we pick our scabs, meaning to say that we often try to hasten this process of healing, renewal: out with the old, in with the new. This is the underlying generative principle of all life; renewal. Living beings age as this process of renewal breaks down and cells cease to be replaced as often, or as completely. We need to continue to renew ourselves to stay young. Similarly, our present human condition absolutely requires renewal: the sick branches have come to dominate and some vicious pruning will indeed be required before we will grow healthy again, but there is even more good news in all of this: as the true human system is a living system, it can – and will – heal itself given sufficient generative conditions. And even without perfect conditions, remember not only can grass grow up in the cracks in the concrete, but such structures will, in time, be little more than picturesque ruins under the power of a regenerative Nature.
This is the Nature we emerge from, and that we are an inseparable part of. Not only can we fix all of this, we can heal all of this: no mechanical metaphors, no moving parts needing replacing: the cells of the system – the DNA, RNA and organelles in the biological metonymy – intrinsically and instinctively know what they need to become when processes of recognition function, just as most forms of malady and dis-ease are caused by a confusion or confounding of those processes of recognition and reciprocation: the functionally interdependent aspects of physiology either mistaking an intruder as a part of the body, or a part of the body as an intruder. In many cases, the most virulent and successful of bacterial and viral infections are those that most efficiently exploit this deception, confusing the body's natural defences into fighting for it.
It is not my intention to convince you of anything, but simply to inspire you to consider these concepts. That said, I will be presenting considerable evidence for every claim made throughout the discussion, in many cases with suggestions for further reading on various topics. I also understand, however, that even within academia, it is rare to encounter a true student, who continues to educate themselves beyond the initial inspiration provided by any transformative learning experience. This discussion is therefore intended as an introduction to a very large dialogue you may have not even been aware was occurring, and it is a discussion, and a dialogue, and you are, as such, encouraged to participate in whatever manner you choose.
So, to retain power, the already-powerful use the media to broadcast dozens of dichotomies as proposed solutions, down to the increasingly-confused and angry populations as the economy begins to fail. They try out every dichotomy, but only those that are the most simple and seem to be in line with the truth as observed by an average person, only those really have any sticking power in the national culture. So ideas like this race vs that race, or this political party vs that political party, or men vs women, this religion vs that religion... all these dichotomies have the appearance of power, they seem important and are visible in our day-to-day, but they are not the root cause of many of humanity's problems.RedCapStonerMAGA
Things that get closer to the real dichotomy of power are ignored by the media, pretending they don't exist. The powerful vs the non-powerful. The hyper-wealthy vs the poor. The 99% vs the 1% had public consciousness for a short time, but even that is a misnomer because it's more like the 99.999% vs the 0.001%. We see the media routinely blackballing these ideas from the public consciousness, abusing people's trust in the media to frame the conversation. Many people trust the media not only to say what the truth is, but also to say what the truth isn't, by way of ignoring it. By not telling the whole truth, which is a type of lying. Lying by omission. This is rampant in modern media, where stories are presented without context, as if they were random scraps of information caught out of the wind. The lack of context and detail in media presentations keeps the masses guessing at what truly happened, and keeps them tilting at their ideologically-empowered false-dichotomy windmills.
Then after the media is fractured, now the different groups aren't even getting the same information much less the same bias. So they continue to drift apart ideologically, because they have completely different viewing portholes on the world. They aren't seeing the same world, because they get a different selection of facts, on top of which ideological biases are then projected. All the powerful ideas that can actually change society are largely hidden from the masses. All the real dichotomies are ignored in lieu of opinion-pieces about these strawman dichotomies, where they compare the worst of "the other side" to the best of "their side" and throw their hands up in exasperation at how the other side and anyone who supports them "just doesn't get it."
Meanwhile, the opposite side is doing the exact same. All this conflict arising from human bias takes up peoples' energy, energy those people think they're spending wisely because they believe in the validity of their particular preferred dichotomy and the worldview that creates. All this wasted energy is as wasted as if it were expended in a video game or sport, it has no net effect on the world as it functions. This it the difference between virtue signalling and actual virtue. One accomplishes nothing other than making the signaler feel righteously correct, at the expense of "the other" being vilified, slightly widening the divides in our society. This is happening in the US. This is happening in almost every country, language, and religion in the world in 2017. We are tightly connected now, and economic panic spreads through the global system in an increasingly non-compartmentalized way.
The only thing that can stop it is our intelligence. People have to fall for these tricks for them to work. If people realize who caused all these problems, and ask for them to be held accountable, and are not swayed by the medias' siren song of false dichotomies, then we can change this. The only solution is for more and more people to wake up to the reality of our situation, and see the lies for what they are, and to stop listening to them. Earth is a very harsh place to live and die, but let's at least counter the mainstream narrative-building with our own unique narratives and media, so that we can regain control of our culture for ourselves. Before we can have an external revolution that truly fixes our situation, we will first have a billion-fold internal revolutions of the mind, where we each wake up to the truth. Where we cast aside false narratives designed to control us, like water off a duck's back. Where we each decide what we realistically want our future to be and work together to achieve it.

Most will work 9+ hours, get home, cook dinner, stare at a screen, go to sleep and repeat. We keep our medicated selves busy and we call it a good day. We end up turning our lives into a schedule of only future and past performances. Something's missing, right? Did you give yourself time to shape the way you feel, breathe, think, act and see? Many I'll assume didn't. If you plan on turning your life into a schedule, set aside time to work on yourself everyday, to work on the personal things you'd like to acheive or fix and to look around and see the beauty of the reality you are shaping. Procrastination is killing us all, it is the reason why a huge majority of people have lost all empathy. It is why we as a species have become lazy, dumb and weak and is literally how the masses are being controlled. Take the time to engage your awareness, as it is not like riding a bike, it is easy to lose but luckily you'll always have something to learn and to work on. If you have read this far I have a request for you to try which will take only 5min. It's a method by Wim Hoff on breath. Firstly, time how long you can hold your breath for, secondly, inhale deep and quick breaths while exhaling only a small fraction of what you've inhaled continuously for 1 min. Once the minute is up time yourself once again holding your breath, take note of the sense of clarity that falls upon you and the substantial difference in recorded times. Feel free to share your times.
In Herman Melville's epic, Moby Dick, the whale is said to represent everything and nothing. It is the vice of the mad captain, it is the greed of capitalism, it is the whim of the totalitarian dictator. But when taken to the test all of these political interpretations fall short. From my observation it has become clear that the Whale has nothing to do with vice and everything to do with individual mental transformation through the quest for truth. Verily, the whale represents un-manifested light, esoteric light, or divine light. The voyage for the blood and blubber of the mythical White Whale is actually the metaphorization of the timeless ritual quest. Two clear examples being the European Grail Quest, and the Native American Vision Quest, both of which embody within them the same esoteric principles expressed by Melville in Moby Dick.from The Shadow of Social Media.
The chapter titled the whiteness of the whale is a glaring clue to the true meaning of the Moby Dick. The whale is a pure white hidden in the vast darkness under the sea. This entire concept is no different from the Ain Soph in kabbalah. The Ain Soph is the un-manifested light within the individual that can be unlocked through meditation. It is said to be a light of the purest white that once glimpsed signifies a transformation of the self. Much of Melville's work can be said to be connected to the work done a century after his death by the great psychologist Carl Jung. Jung's concept of individuation, which is the concept of how an individual becomes who they are, is very similar to the quest for truth embodied by the Whale Voyage. Seeing the Ain Soph and meeting ones shadow are much like glimpsing the crowning head of the White Whale bursting from the sea. In the liminal sea the whiteness lays hidden. Just as the un-manifested light lays hidden within the unconscious self.
If anything alchemy is closer to hands on psychology using metals as metaphors than anything resembling Chemistry. The metals in Alchemy have more to do with metaphors of planets which represent specific occult concepts. Mercury for instance is the androgine Adam man, and the Planet closest to the Sun, and the strange liquid metal. Gold, represented by the Sun, is known for its utmost purity and permanence is often considered divine. And this purity is carried over into a relation to the divine light of the Sun. With this in mind it becomes clear that alchemy is not a physical process but a mental one. Alchemy is the working of the Prima Materia (Self) into its purest state (individual), in many cases Alchemy is the unlocking of divine potential hidden in the mundane body or mind. From this one can say that alchemy is one of the first example of self help literature.
In traditional symbolism the Dragon or Snake represents knowledge. For instance, serpent on the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden. And there is always the ever present aged dragon slumbering atop his hoard of gold. The Order of St George is a knightly order dedicated to the veneration of the great dragon slayer St. George. With our knowledge of symbolism we can decipher that St. George did not kill a dragon but instead conquered truth. Moby Dick is an allegorical retelling of the timeless quest for truth. Through a careful hermeneutic study it can be clearly shown that the Whale does not in fact represent greed or anything of the sort. Moby Dick is a quest for something far more than mere profit. The hunt for the oil of the mythical White Whale is a search for the light hidden within darkness.
On social media people do not interact with each other they interact with the two dimensional avatar that a person created. Social media is an intricate interplay of doppelgangers. The shadows of reality projected onto the walls of Plato's cave. Social media can be seen as an example of what Deleuze and Guttari call double articulation. There is the individual as they are seen in reality, or meat space, and there is the individual as they are perceived online through their avatar. At what point does the shadow consume the individual? When the individual ceases to live as themselves and only lives through their 2D profile. Carl Jung's process of individuation, simply becoming who you are, involves meeting and confronting your inner shadow. Like Percival dawning the armor of the red knight we too must face ourselves in battle. We cannot let who we portray ourselves to be stop us from being who we are.ApocalypseFatigue from Piercing the Veil and Seeking the Grail
The grail has four possible interpretations. One is that it is a cup that held Christ's blood or the royal blood line like they say in that book. The second is that the grail is a woman or feminine principle lost from the central kingdom. But, symbolically the feminine has layered symbolism that was designed to disguise it's true meaning from the uninitiated. The third is that it could be interpreted as a stone. Sometimes the stone that fell from Lucifer's crown as he was cast from heaven on high. And sometimes the philosopher's stone. The fourth is that the grail is what is learned from the quest itself. According to Wolfram von Eschenbach, in his epic Parcival, the grail has the power to turn it's holder invisible, implying entry into other realms. Grail mythology is in essence a hyperborian in origin and it predates Christianity in Europe. Christian dogma was later put over the existing grail myth as a template. The key is the quest and the prospect of a return to a center or a pre historical golden age. The concept of the Dolorous Stroke or the wounded king awaiting a healthy return are central to the myrhos. And don't forget about the lance or spear of destiny. The cup and the lance are essential pieces of the same quest. The best book I have ever seen on the subject is by Julius Evola. I highly suggest you read it.
Since the first hominid picked up the first bone club, a certain kind of person has always sought dominion through force, and a certain kind of person has always sought control through deception. Morality is an option to that subset of our species. We forget that we are the vast majority, not this sliver of sociopaths that weave their webs around us. But this is not the whole picture, just the crude oil on the surface of the deep green sea. We must remember that there is also no limit to kindness. In our Great Game, people take on the character that calls to them, either dragging down others for power or lifting up others for its own sake. And here we all are to play our parts.from Be not afraid. We need you all.

Flip over rocks to find hidden truths and act on them when called. Lift up your neighbors and we will all rise above the pyramid schemes. Acknowledge the darkness, but bring a candle to your corner. Make great art, tell your story and support others who do the same. We can only build a better world from inside out. Whatever happens today, the real game is yours to play. Continue?
Before we play at being knights we have to understand the quest that calls us. First, one notices The Program of the Outer Game and feels its slowly-acting poison, then one rebels and lashes out with fire and lightning. Galleries, libraries, and record stores are filled with the often beautiful and empowering results of this urge. Yet after its initial thrill, rage only exhausts us and creates ripples of new harm that amuse The Adversary. Some never leave this Dantean cycle, but some begin the dance of initiation and realization. In time it is these who seek to change the code of the Outer Game itself. We can all choose to go from played, to player, to programmer. The seasoned Hermetic axiom "as above, so below; so within, so without" served the alchemists of old and it can serve us today. The journey from slave of circumstance to sovereign co-author of the universe is a life-long walk uphill, but when the fog of mesmerism parts, we find it is the only path there is to walk if we take freedom seriously. The Inner Game must be mastered to shift the variables of its worldly counterpart.Braje_Piche from Willy Wonka and the Spiritual Path
The first thing to do is to honor your body. The flesh is the interface of all our work and we are often quick to take it for granted. Do not get mired in guilt and regret. Drink water. A good rule of thumb goal for daily water intake is to take half your weight in pounds and use that number of ounces. Filter it as you're able, for Lord knows the tap is a gamble. Take magnesium in water if you can, as it calms the nervous system. You are what you eat, so eat as well as you're able. Whole foods (meaning fruit/veg/grain/nuts etc rather than processed, not the chain store) will deliver the purest and most sustaining energy. Keep up with your vitamin C and zinc to stave off the ubiquitous viruses. Clean fats like MCT oil will give you more and better energy than processed carbs. To be an alpha, get your omegas. Rebuild your gut biome and watch your cognition and intuition rebuild themselves and grow. Finally, eat your greens. Get out and get moving. Shake your heart and lungs to life with activity. Go anywhere, but go. Have a walk or a ride around the block as often as you can. Fresh air, natural light, blood flow, and stimulus unrelated to the mystery that plagues your mind will all recharge you. Tearing veils and processing what is revealed can be very taxing, and we must give ourselves a break between digs to stay fresh and useful.
This will seem hardest: get enough sleep. Insomnia haunts many an investigator and activist. Relaxation is as much a need as oxygen. Do as much as you can to reset the mind and prepare it for rest. White noise or calm music will help. Soma FM is full of useful material for this and runs 24/7. I recommend the "Drone Zone" station. They're worth supporting, as are all that increase the calm in this frenetic world. The most punk rock, righteous thing you can do in a destructive culture (and ours at the moment is an empire of death cloaked in lip service to virtue, make no mistake) is to be creative. Your voice is the one that needs to be heard. Keep adding truth to the conversation in person and online, but also, create. You may make the art that saves a life, and if nothing else it may save yours. Take time to express all that is building inside you.
This is how I interpret it: Charlie is a pure soul who is born into a poor but loving family. Because of his good qualities, his faith, and, perhaps, divine intervention, he is given the Golden Ticket, which is an opportunity to reach a great goal. This to me represents the learning of a true spiritual path. But as he and the other ticket-holders realize once they reach the Chocolate Factory, in order to reach the goal they cannot be drawn away from the path by lower, negative qualities like greed, ego, gluttony, dishonesty, etc. They are also tempted by the character of Slugworth, who promises great wealth if they will betray the benevolent Willy Wonka. I think you may have an idea whom he would represent...The Older I Get, The Greater I Was , love is not needing to say I love you , It Feels Like Yesterday
Once they reach the end of the journey, the only ticket-holder who is left is Charlie. He stayed (for the most part) true to the path and at the end is given ownership of the factory. I believe this represents his becoming the new Teacher or Guru. In the final scene, Charlie, Grandpa, and Willy Wonka enter the glass elevator. They press a special button and shoot straight through the roof of the factory, flying high above the town. I believe that this represents the raising of the spiritual energy (kundalini) through all of the chakras and then going beyond awareness of the physical body, experiencing our true nature, the energetic body, or soul. In my interpretation (although the film ends at this point), here both Grandpa and Willy Wonka would be in Mahasamadhi; Grandpa through death and Wonka through spritual attainment. Charlie however would return back to the physical plane to teach and perfect his own practice.
